Ordinary Students in Extraordinary Situations

Air and tear. Slams and cams. The votes have been counted and the committee has spoken: these are our chosen ones to become the next Red Bull First Person!

We're sending them a bad ass case and phone to keep on themselves 24/7. When it rings, they are whisked away to a secret destination to live the life of a Red Bull athlete.

Did you miss out on the action? Don't worry. We'll be back soon in the hunt for the next Red Bull First Person!

A final post from Dustin

Just got back to Florida yesterday afternoon after a 10 hour flight from beautiful Hawaii and I must say that I'm a little disappointed to be back. Although I'm required to tell my girl friend that I had a horrible time with out her and I'm so glad to be back at her side (which I am), I would be lying If I didn't say that these past few days were among the best days of my life. From the very first day all my expectations were blown away. I was expecting to stay at the local hotel, but we ended staying at a house that was right on the North shore just minutes from world famous Pipeline. After that I got to surf with world famous surfer Jamie O'Brien and I had the pleasure of losing to him in a Wakeboard contest. Even a freak boating accident turned out to be an event that I will never forget. Hanging out with Jamie on an overturned boat in the middle of the ocean waiting for help to come and get us, was an experience that nobody can say they have done before. However this entire event was only possible because of a group of people who worked hard to make sure that I had a First Person experience. I would first like to thank Mike and Red bull for putting everything together and giving me the opportunity of a life time despite numerous attempts to kill me. Next I would like to thank the crew behind the scenes who literally risked their lives to get the next great shot. Thank you for working with me and making sure that I didn't look like a complete idiot on camera. It was great hanging out with all of you and hopefully you can salvage all the footage that we lost to the bottom of the ocean. I also want to thank Fincher who with out him I would never had even entered the contest and all my other friends and family especially Lindsay who spent so much time voting for me. And finally I want to thank Jamie O'Brien for taking time out of his busy schedule to show me the ropes and making sure I didn't smash my face on the reef while trying to surf. Thank you all so so much! I will never forget the past few days and I hope I get a chance to hang out with you guys in the future.

We woke up this morning and the waves were firing.  Dustin is back out with Jamie O as we speak, trying to tackle the waves at the infamous Pipeline break.  Since we lost a lot of equipment, there may not be as much content on here but Dustin will update you soon.
